What Makes A Good Story

               There are many things that make a great story.  Somethings are little, that don't seem like they  make a difference in the story, but they do.  Then there are the ones that are very obvious and dramatically change how a story goes, and how the reader enjoys the story.  Starting at the beginning of a story the exposition is an extremely important part of a story because it basically opens the story into events that will occur later in the book.  The importance of an exposition is it explains what characters are like, what the main setting of the story will be,  and it also typically introduces the main conflict of the book.  The exposition is also what grabs the readers attention because the exposition is the one thing the reader always judges the book off of.  Usually if an exposition is bad the reader will no longer continue to read the book.  This is why having a strong exposition is so vital in a story.   Another important piece of a story is the plot.  The plot is the main conflict of the book.  Without a conflict the book is just boring and unpredictable and nobody enjoys reading a book like that.  In a summary you summarize the plot of the story therefore without a plot you can hardly even call it a story because its just one continuous tone and speed.  Lastly, it is always good to have a good ending to story, or conclusion.  With a good conclusion you know what happens in the end who solves the conflict, if the conflict actually does get solve in the story.  A conclusion  is so important in a story because with out it, what happens in the end.  A good descriptive exposition, and interesting plot, and a good conclusion are just a few things that make up a great story.
